Who Can Apply

Categories of candidates who can be admitted to the MSc are graduates of the Faculties of Economics and Management, Social Sciences & Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences and Engineering Faculties of universities in Greece or similar institutions abroad, and graduates of Departments former A.T.E.I. in a related subject.

Candidates for the MSc can be:

  • Graduates of the above departments provided that they have submitted a Certificate of Completion of Studies no later than 31 October each year and in any case before the date of the Assembly meeting for the ratification of the list of successful candidates. In this case, a copy of their diploma or degree shall be submitted before the date of commencement of the programme.
  • Graduates provided that they have passed by 30 September of each academic year all courses required for the award of a degree or diploma and that they have passed all courses. In all cases, successful candidates must provide all the necessary supporting documents by the closing date for registration.
  • Applications may also be submitted by graduates of foreign institutions that are not yet included in the National Register of Recognized Institutions of Foreign Countries. In this case, applicants must submit a solemn declaration of possession of a degree. In all cases, applicants will be required to provide evidence that they have taken the necessary steps to ensure that their qualifications and the institution concerned are included in the National Register of Recognised Foreign Institutions by the end of their period of study. Otherwise, the student will be deleted from the register, without the student being entitled to a refund of the money paid (in this case no certificate will be issued).
  • Members of the categories of Special Teaching Staff., as well as Special Laboratory or Teaching Staff. and Laboratory Technical Scientific Staff may, upon request, be registered as supernumeraries, and only one per year and per MSc, provided that they serve in the relevant Department and the degree and the work they perform in the relevant Department is relevant to the subject of the MSc.

According to Article 304 of Law No. 4957/2022 as in force, the application with the required supporting documents is submitted to the Secretariat of the MSc, which undertakes to examine the applications based on the criteria of Law No. If the degree from a foreign university is included in the IOATAP list (Article 307), the MSc Secretariat must request a Certificate of Place of Study, which is issued and sent by the foreign university. Applications in which the place of study or part of the studies is declared to be in Greece are excluded, unless the part of the studies undertaken in Greece is at a public higher education institution.
