The Secretariat serves as the central Administrative Service of the Department. Its main responsibilities include:
- Administrative liaison between the Department of Economics and the University of Patras
- Management of incoming and outgoing documents
- Registration of new students and scholarship processing
- Approval of student ID cards (pass)
- Handling of any administrative or operational matters related to the Study Program (grades, courses, graduate lists, graduation ceremonies)
- Issuance of transcripts, enrollment certificates, diploma copies, graduation certifications (withdrawals), and suspension of studies
- Posting general announcements and exam results in the designated area of the Department
